Join and pledge to ‘30° is enough!’

We often pride ourselves for our achievements when it comes to living more sustainable lives. But when it comes to washing many of us wash too warm, spend too much energy and shorten the life of our textiles. We must change that.

Let’s come clean on washing! 30° is enough, but too few are aware and too few dare to care.
By simply lowering the wash temperature from 40 to 30°, you can extend the life of your clothes by 50%, slash textile waste and lower energy consumption. Take action today — join the ‘30° is enough!’ mission. Do it for your clothes, and do it for the planet!

Pledge and create the change.

When 1 person changes behavior ...

we can light a bulb in 15 windows for a month, bringing brightness to 15 homes during the early spring evenings.

When 1.000 persons changes behavior ...

we can light up 15,000 windows for a month, spreading joy and light to thousands of homes.

When 10.000 persons changes behavior ...

we can light up 150,000 windows for a month. Or bring a glow to every household in Jönköping throughout March and April.

Washing tips - care for what you have

When you care for your clothes and textiles properly, you extend their lifetime and consume less energy. Here are some tips that your clothes —and the climate — will love

Try spot cleaning

If you have tough stains to deal with, pre-treating is better than using a higher wash temperature. We’ve gathered tips on stain removal. Remember — most things get clean at 30 degrees.

Air out or refresh with steam

Many garments only need to be aired out or refreshed with steam to be worn again. Individual stains don’t require machine washing the entire garment; Try spot cleaning.

Know your washing machine

Modern washing machines have functions for energy efficiency and special garment care —make use of them. Tailor programs to what’s being washed and choose energy-efficient machines.
